Despite the weather, my training, kit and equipment all came together to deliver an awesome race experience!
Super stoked with how My training has prepared me for Washington 70.3 and was so glad that I was able to execute flawlessly to plan. Besides getting me physically ready, This was my first 70.3 since my last one in 2019 September and really felt like I’ve been training 2 years for this A-race!
This was also a first race for me where I met some other B70 team mates on course. The B70 kit was like a 2nd skin and dried quickly during the run.
Overall, this was a very well run race coupled with a very supportive community. The weather was the main curve ball for me. Besides being cold on the bike (my fault mainly for opting to save time and skipping a wind/rain jacket in transition) everything went better than raceX. Due to the wet road and ubiquitous pine needles my bike picked up, I had to give it a bath. ??
