I'm an athena triathlete. I got into the sport about 5 years ago with encouragement from my running buddies. I didn't even own a bike at the time, but managed to use a friends and I've never looked back. While I'm not a podium racer I do enjoy racing and training hard. I work full time, I'm a mom and wife. Life keeps me super busy. I have a triathlon coach who is amazing and works with my busy life schedule and has gotten me through two 70.3 half ironman's. Each year gets harder with trying to fit in my children's sports and school, but I have remained training and throwing in some races. I have to stay moving so I don't stop. I train with a lovely group of ladies connected with my coach and it's the best thing I've ever done. I plan to continue training and throwing in a race or two along the away.
