I’m the head womens tennis coach at USC and a wife and mother. My daughter is 2 and has Down syndrome. She is already learning to swim! I’m currently pregnant with my second baby (girl) due in March. My main sport growing up and in college was tennis. But I also ski and swam for 2 years on my high school team. I grew up in the water and always loved swimming open water best! I was swimming masters multiple times a week when I moved to LA for work 5 years ago. I helped to found an open water swim group in Long Beach and since have been swimming OWS multiple times a month in addition to pool swims. I swam a 3 mile OWS while 38 weeks pregnant! And I’ve swum 2 races this summer while pregnant with my second. Teaching our 2 year old to swim and play in the ocean is my fave! We recently bought her her first wetsuit! After this one is born, I have big goals to get back to my birth weight and swim some big OWS races this summer. I’ve done a 5k ocean race and Alcatraz- placing top 3 in my age group both times. Thanks for considering me!
