I have been an Open Water Swimmer for 3 decades. I started with Candlewood Lake (10 miles) as a teen, then returned to the sport seriously after a couple of brain injuries and trauma sent me back to the water. Notable swims (all without wetsuit- Channel Rules only): Lake Tahoe 22+ miles, Keuka Lake 34 miles (only one to do this), Sacandaga Lake 32 miles, length of Lake George (8th to do this) 32+ miles, length of Torch lake (only to do this) 19 miles, length of Memphremagog 25 miles, Length of Lake Geneva (Switzerland) 43 miles (8th ever, 2nd American to do this AND oldest ever!).I have 2 grown children and coach high school and masters swimming (national level triathletes and swimmers)!
