I've been a runner since 1978, a swimmer since 1982 and a triathlete since 1987. I've competed in hundreds of events all over the country and world. Triathlon is my passion and I count pretty much everything in my life that I've got and achieved to my participation in the sport. In 2003, I lost my first wife to melanoma, triathlon training helped me heal; I also met my present wife while doing an open water group swim. I was voted to be the Triathlete Magazine cover person in 2017. I believe I'm an incredible ambassador for the sport and the products and equipment that helps me participate.
