I was an avid runner, who took up cycling then swimming and have been very successful competing in triathlons. Now I am a marathon swimmer having completed more than 12 competitive swims at or over the 10K distance. I finished 7th female of 40 in 2021 10 mile Swim the Suck in Chattanooga TN. And most recently I finished 6th female in this fall's Bridges to Bluff's 10K swim. I placed first in my age group in the 2021 5K Chattanooga Swim Fest. Last October I completed a 11.5 mile night swim of the Holston and Tennessee rivers. This fall I completed the Swim Mackinac Island event (8.2 miles) in very rough conditions. Coming up I have the 12.5 mile Swim Around Charleston and once again the 10 mile Swim the Suck.
I am also an endurance cyclist. A few years ago I took up Gravel cycling and have been successful in the races I competed in. In addition I continue to run, but now mostly on trails.
My most recent triathlon was a half iron length event in which I placed 2nd in my age group.
I help organize swimming outings in the Chattanooga area. I love to be out on my SUP. And I am a fan of Blue Seventy apparel!
