I'm a Mom, triathlete, and kinesiology/health professor. I walked onto a master's team in 2014 and have fallen in love with swimming ever since. I maintain that starting your day swimming in open water with friends/teammates followed by coffee is truly the best thing!
I love the journey and process of training, chipping away at goals and always finding room to improve. Setting an example for my daughter is a huge motivator-showing her that women can be strong, determined, and accomplish goals in and out of the water.
I have done 6 x 70.3's, Olympic and sprint distance triathlons, 15 open water swim events, countless running races. I had my first child at the start of the pandemic and did three short sprint triathlons post partum that ended up being some of my fastest to date. Swimming in open water has really helped me stay balanced and happy throughout these new pandemic times.
