Swimming has always been a huge part of my life. I grew up with a pool in my backyard but my waterpolo coach in high school said I didn’t know how to swim. I broke records on scores and assists but yet did not know how to swim? Well he was actually right! I learned a lot after high school with some amazing swim partners and a butterfly teacher! I taught swim lesson and lifeguarded through high school and college. I then became an Aquatic director and swim coach. My favorite part about that job was spent developing others in their first job and especially teaching and coaching kids, teens, adults, and triathletes the basics, the physics, and a love for swimming. I haven’t done a noteworthy amount of races but have thoroughly loved the ones I have done, specially beating most people in the swim and catching the heat before me. I’m currently raising my youngest of three who is 14 years younger than the the second one. It’s an amazing time in my life with her and also time to take time for myself…in the form of swimming with group and doing triathlons.
