In 2019, I decided to try triathlons and completed my first two sprint triathlons. After a season being coached by Shawn Sullivan, I realized the 70.3 distance was no longer scary and signed up for two races for the next year.
In 2020, my goal was to complete my first two 70.3 races, which were both cancelled, so I completed the distance solo in early August on the Washington course. Very happy with my time of 6:00:39 and will be back in 2021 to break 6 hours.
I love being outdoors in general. I've been skiing since I was a kid, been a raft guide for BEWET (Boeing's rafting club) for 10 years, have been a ski instructor for Fiorini Ski School at Snoqualmie Summit for the past 2 winters. I also love getting out into the woods for some long overnight hikes.
