9-5 boardroom pacer - all other hours age-group racer, Timmy "Trouble" Hortz is a triathlon tragic in the hyper competitive 35-39yr male age group whilst balancing his full time job as an Executive Director for the Queensland State Government. Coming from a club swimming (he's all for the swim) and casual running background, Trouble joined Jarrad Adams' Swift Multisport group in 2016 and has grown as an athlete ever since. One of the hardest working age groupers in Brisbane, Timmy believes in training consistency and paying attention to all the one percenters involved in keeping the body ready to race at the drop of a hat. The 2019 season was a breakthrough series with numerous local tri AG wins and solidly competitive outings at international level events including the 2019 70.3 Ironman World Championships in Nice, France, 2019 ITU World Championships in Lausanne, Switzerland and a crowning achievement of running a sub 3hr marathon debut at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon in October.
