I am a mother of 3 grown sons, a grandmother of 3 sons, and have been married for 37 years. I own my own medical distributorship. I found the sport of triathlon 10 years ago and slowly worked my way to a full Ironman in 2019 (placed 4th in my age group) I did a full IM to honor my triathlete son who just finished a bone marrow transplant in September, 2020 after struggling with Lymphoma for the last 2 and a half years. I also qualified for and attended the World half Ironman in South Africa in 2018. My stress release are my workouts. I have fallen in love with swimming, although I need to work on my speed! Open water swims are my favorite thing in the world because of the peace and serenity of being far from shore with only the water, my thoughts, and the rhythmic noise of my strokes . I am thinking about joining a winter open water swim group here in Vermont...I wear a Blueseventy wetsuit.
