I'm a 31 year old MD/PhD student and professional triathlete. As a former collegiate runner, I entered the world of triathlon as a result of repeated, nagging running injuries. Through a steep learning curve, I (literally) dove into swimming and cycling which were sports I had no prior experience. It has been an incredibly difficult challenge, but my efforts and my exceptionally supportive training partners pushed me to earn my professional license in triathlon in 2019 after placing top 10 Amateur in the Standard distance race at the Triathlon World Championship in Lausanne Switzerland 2019. I still have a lot of room for improvement and I'm very excited to keep chasing my athletic dreams in this sport!
