I learned to swim, in 2016, at the age of 54, after a total knee replacement. I hit the water, for rehab, and began lessons with a coach, discovering an unknown passion! I joined a Masters’ Swim Team, and eventually, a Tri Team, and became an “athlete” for the first time in my life.
Enjoying the thrill of competition, I have podiumed in Tri Aqua Bike, 70.3 Ironman Relay, Masters’ Meets, and other events. Swimming has become my addiction!! I like to mix up experiences with various challenges, from the pool to open water races, including WOWSA’s 10K, Alcatraz, and others. In 2022, I participated for the first time in the USMS SCY Nationals.
I am a resident of New Hampshire, and am fortunate to spend my winters in California’s Coachella Valley. My work, as a Group Tour Planner & Director, has given me a chance to swim throughout the world. I’m obsessed with finding ways to be more efficient and faster.
I really enjoy being a part of (and being motivated by) the blueseventy racing team! I had the opportunity to meet members at races and through social media. The camaraderie and support, no matter the level of athlete, are truly special!
