A new knee has given me a new life!!
I learned to swim, in 2016, at the age of 54, after a total knee replacement. I hit the water, for rehab, and began lessons with a coach, discovering an unknown passion! I joined a Masters’ Swim Team, and eventually, a Tri Team, and became an “athlete” for the first time in my life.
Enjoying the thrill of competition, I have podiumed in Tri Aqua Bike events and Masters’ Meets. Last December, it was crazy fun to swim in my first Ironman 70.3 relay. I like to mix up my swim experiences with various challenges, from the pool to open water races, including WOWSA’s 10K, and Alcatraz.
I am a resident of New Hampshire, and am fortunate to spend my winters in California’s Coachella Valley. My work, as a Group Tour Planner & Director, has given me a chance to swim throughout the world. I’m hooked on swimming; and obsessed with finding ways to be more efficient and faster. I’m truly excited about being part of the blueseventy racing team & meeting other members!
