Post-Race DrinkChocolate Milk! I know it's cliche, but that sugary goodness is all I crave post race!

To put it simply, I am a person who loves to move! At the age of five, I began to study dance, and I spent 11 years of my life training in classical ballet, tap, jazz, and many other forms of dance. This also took me into the world of theatre, and I gained my degree in theatrical performance. Upon graduating, I found myself in a bit of a rut, so I turned to the constant that had been in my life since a young age, movement. I took up the sport of triathlon on a whim, and I never guessed it would take me all the places that it has. Among many of the gifts that it's given me is a strong sense of discipline. This has served me in every aspect of my life, including my career. I spent four years teaching at-risk and emotionally disturbed 4th and 5th graders, and sharing with them the lessons I learned in mental toughness from training and racing. About a year ago, I was given the gift of a new job. I currently serve as the Access Coordinator for a children's theatre near Washington DC. I spend my time outside of training working with students with disabilities and their families to ensure they have to tools they need to access and make art of their own.
