I started swimming when I was 5 and did summer league until I was 18. I started running in 5th grade and did XC and track in middle school and continued throughout high school. I competed in my first triathlon in 2011 and was hooked. I got serious about it come college when I joined by college tri club team. And got super serious a year or so in to college when I got a personal coach. I have had success at the sprint and olympic distances with many podiums and a few wins and am currently working on the 70.3 distance. I am currently a triathlon coach specializing in swimming. I have had success in swimming, and come out in the front pack or in first out of the water in races. My fastest 1500m swim in an olympic tri was ~18:50 (in a B70 wetsuit) and I still aim to bring that down. Besides triathlon I am a PhD, doing Breast Cancer Research. I recently moved to Belfast UK from Virginia to create a breast cancer vaccine. So I am very busy guy but love it! Trainers are a great thing ha. But who am I? I do not define my success in sport or in academics but I find my identity in Christ. I am a son of God first and foremost and take that throughout everything I do. I do all things for the Glory of God!
