I was a soccer kid growing up, who didn't like to run much. Got out of high school and ran to keep in shape, found I enjoyed trial running. Got talked into my first running race and chased 1/2 and full marathons for a few years. Volunteered at Ironman CDA and decided to give a triathlon Olympic a try. Struggled and panicked in the swim, but once I got through and finished the race, I was hooked.
I have advanced to a competitive athlete with lots of accolades and awards, still chasing those titles and championship races. My dream is still to get to Kona. After major setbacks of 3 leg surgeries in 2015-2016, I thought racing was over for me. I fought back even stronger and have consistently held titles since 2017.
I enjoy being outside and on the go, especially when its exercise related. I am a personal trainer and endurance coach. I also love the change of seasons, winter most people hate, but I love trekking up the mountain snowshoeing or snowboarding all winter. I enjoy travel and want to see so many more places on this earth before I no longer can one day!
I enjoy encouraging others to find and enjoy a healthy lifestyle, cause quality of life means more than quantity of life spent sick. I enjoy encouraging other women to fight for health and happiness.
