Hello, I am 54 years old from Canada, and happy to be returning for my third year with Blueseventy. I took up swimming in 2011, as rehab for a running injury, and did my first Ironman that year wearing a Blueseventy wetsuit. And have been wearing one ever since; love the Helix!! :).
I'm lucky to live close to the ocean, and 2 lakes where I do most of my swimming. Due to pool closures last year I swam open water all year round in 2020-21 for the first time, and thoroughly enjoyed it! (I was happy to discover that 6C or 42F really isn't too bad if you are consistent and climatize gradually).
There is a large local open water swimming community, and I've met lots of great people along the way!
Hopefully I will get to meet some of you soon, now that racing is back on!!
