I’ve been racing triathlons for 14 years and stumbled upon it when I talked to a few friends who race triathlons during my son’s 2nd birthday. The thought of racing 3 sports in 1 race seemed intriguing at the time. It didn’t take long before i signed up for my first Olympic distance race. Couple years after, I signed up for my first local 70.3! When I started, I knew nothing about the sport other than it included swim, bike and run. Definitely learned a lot trolling beginner triathlete, slowtwitch and the internet. Lots of people I met thru tri helped advance my knowledge in the sport. Fast forward several 70.3s and 4 tri bikes later, I’m still loving the sport. I still feel there’s room to improve.. well... hopefully thru fitness gains else I might pay for them thru gear upgrades. :)
